The village hall come community centre was designed to be flexible. The hall itself was designed for competitive badminton whilst the stage and associated rooms behind are used for dramatic presentations and dressing rooms. The building has a fully equipped kitchen that can cater for parties and receptions and a committee room completes the accommodation.

The buildings design includes the prospect of future extension. It is built part traditionally with load baring walls but the hall is supported with a steel portal frame. Faced with brick and textured split blocks under a clay tile roof the building occupies a pivotal position in the centre of the village.
